This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for May 18, 2008:
Being a new GAIA Ambassador!
I became a Zaadz Ambassador shortly after becoming an active part of the community
7 months after Brian created Zaadz.
I was thrilled to receive the package of goodies, t shirt & all.
I take my role as Ambassador seriously.
Following all the changes from Zaadz to Gaia, there was a shift in energy.
All growth needs a shift in the existing energy, I like to roll with the flow.
Some people complain, I cheer for change.
This last week, Jessica announced the new GAIA Ambassador program & I
responded immediately.
Quickly receiving a note saying my application would be read.
A couple of days later, I got my GAIA Ambassador acceptance & I have to admit,
IT FEELS DIFFERENT!
I don't know why it "feels" different exactly.
Many of the same people are involved, already dedicated to the cause here,
and many loving friends, each with their own passion and commitment.
But I feel a raising of the bar.
A NEW COMMITMENT to the reason why we are all here in Gaia
to begin with.
Not to just invite new people to grow the network,
but to COMMIT not only to each other,
but to the spirit of what Gaia represents. The BEST in each of us.
My cultivation is to my commitment with my new Gaia Ambassadorship
to be the best I can be.
To encourage others to be the best they can be.
To keep things positive and loving, (even when my buttons get pushed. I'll try! I swear!)
To accentuate the positive
Eliminate the negative
Latch on to the affirmative
and don't mess with Mr. In Between.
Thanks to each of you for reading this and endless THANKS to the Gaia Team
who continue to astonish me daily.
Peace ON!

LadyBear:
As always, your writing inspires me. I logged on this monring to check in and also to put something on my own blog about being a Gaia Ambassador and what that means to me. Now I read your magical words and realize you have already raised the bar - but you did that merely by being a member.
Getting to know you - having you as a friend, ist testament to the incredible community “perks” that can occur by being a member of Gaia.
I'm feel joyous to have met you.
Namaste
I am not an ambassador, but am very grateful to those who are—like our energizing and inspiring bear lady : ) Thank you, right back, dear friend.
I have been blissfully unaware of the general rumblings that may have taken place during the shift from Gaia to Zaadz. It's still a very special enclave on the www.
One complaint only, from me (I'll get over it :) I miss the name. Zaadz. So fun to say, and free of cliche associations. That double-zed word brought me here. I saw it floating on a clean-paged ad in the Shambhala Sun, in 2005. The licorice clarity of that word, combined with the evocative copy surrounding it, drew me in. (My hat's off to whoever created those ads, by the way! Tell me whose forehead to put a gold star on, and I'll do it.)
But, “What's in a name? that which we call a rose, by any other name would smell as sweet” The name changed. But the spirit was formed, and not easily ruffled.
Gaia is precious to me.
deep bows,
crow
Thanks so much Jackie and Crow.
Such kind words to me….. make my day! :-)
re the name Crow…
Just yesterday a newbie wrote to the lounge needing to understand what the word meant.
confusion of the purpose here.
I responded HERE
I liked being a Zaadzter. it is a funny title and name.
but we have grown from the seeds into the flower and cultivating the great spirit that is shared here is an easy thing to do.
So many wonderful loving people. Open to change and growth.
It's inspiring to me.
Hugs & Thanks XOOX
Thank you for your reflections and your feelings about ambassadorship Ladybear. Yes, I too am optimistic with this new ambassadorship program that Jessica is leading. I felt a difference too and it made me do a better job of changing myself in order to help other people.
Not only do you know what is going on here at zaadz and gaia but you also know the “air” or the “climate” of what's going on everytime, you should be the Gaia historian.
Namaste,
Samme
Samme! YOU CRACK ME UP!
You've been here longer then me and you are Mr. Creativity around here!

Although i do spend more time online here then most people! ;-)

Big Hugs XOXO
