Mexico to Guatemala

We were headed overland to South America, but this trip we only got as far as
Guatemala. We love Guatemala and once we were there, we couldn't leave it.

Because the photos didn't transfer well here at Gaia, I've uploaded the story to
my website....

 PLEASE JOURNEY ON HERE

This is fascinating!  You need to write a book.  Tell me your writing a book, seriously.  I loved reading this.

I have a friend from Guatemala who continues to say I should visit.  Now I know I should.

Keep writing.

Love it.

I think you and I have the same taste in terms of travel…I love both Mexico and Guatemala and have been to all of the places you've written about! I love all of them, too…..Puerto Escondido, Lake Aititlan, Chiapas, etc.
I agree with Jackie….you should be working on a book (perhaps you are?). Your writing definitely painted a picture for me of what's wonderful there. It makes me want to go back….

What a wonderful trip to take first thing in the morning.  Your words just painted such a beautiful picture … now I want to go!  Thank you for sharing your adventures and yes, write the book!  I'll buy it.

Love YOU

Thanks Jackie, Ayla & Morning Star!
I love traveling & Morning Star's blog got me thinking to add some more of my stories here too. It was really her photo as
Sub Comandante Marcos that made me do it!

I couldn't get some of the photos to fit in well here on Gaia, so i'll probably put more on my personal website. If you want to know Guatemala, click on the photo of the lake and see some of the wonderful photos listed on that flickr site.

I really do want to write that book.
The title is already covered “Memoirs of a Trailblazing Ladybear”,
along with some of the stories.  Who knows, maybe i'll get it done someday.

Thanks for reading and for the positive comments. I appreciate & love each of you amazing women!

One of my big dreams is to travel to Mexico or farther south, and this story is fueling the dream.  You can feel a sense of freedom in your story, and the simplicity of being with the people, sharing gifts, having adventures,.  Eating iguana!  wow, that's really funny.  Although I don't suppose it was quite so funny at the time…
